Restoring Dignity. Breaking the Cycle.

We bridge the gap between crisis intervention and long-term stability. We empower survivors of domestic violence through dignified choices and equip workplaces to protect their teams.
our unique mission

Leaving is Only the First Step.

When a woman escapes domestic abuse, she often leaves everything behind. Starting over shouldn’t mean sacrificing dignity, yet many survivors face the daunting task of rebuilding without basic essentials or a support system. At the same time, our communities and workplaces often lack the tools to recognize the signs of abuse or offer the right support.
We believe it takes a complete ecosystem to break the cycle.

How We Create Change Together

The SHE Casa Foundation operates pillars to drive proactive education and tangible, dignity-first support across Trinidad and Tobago.

1. AWARENESS: Educating for a Safer Tomorrow
Breaking the stigma through connection and corporate training.
Through our active social media outreach and our specialized WORKSAFE educational program, we equip businesses, HR departments, and everyday people with the knowledge to identify abuse, support victims safely, and cultivate environments where survivors can thrive.
2. EMPOWERMENT: Restoring Dignity
Helping survivors step confidently into their next chapter.
Rebuilding starts with regaining confidence. With the SHE’que Shopping Spree, we invite survivors through our partnerships with other NGOs to safely shop for the clothing, professional attire, and daily essentials they need to reclaim their independence and dignity – completely free of charge.
3. SUSTAINABILITY: Shopping with a Purpose
The economic engine that makes our mission possible.
Every movement needs fuel. The SHE’que Thrift Boutique is our social enterprise. When you shop for high-quality thrifted pieces with us, your purchases directly fund the WORKSAFE programs and underwrite the Shopping Sprees.

Formalized by Tragedy, Driven by Purpose

Our mission is deeply personal. While built on over a decade of female empowerment work, the SHE Casa Foundation was irrevocably crystallized in 2024 following the devastating domestic violence murders of a close friend of our founder and the friend’s mother.

We transformed informal advocacy into an urgent mission to prevent future tragedies. Because we define a survivor simply: A woman who is still breathing. Period.
volunteers

We need passionate volunteers to assist with programs, events, administration, and more. Share your time and talents to empower women and combat domestic violence in our community.
